Some of the services provided for older adults include:
Elder Support Program
For older adults and family members in the unfamiliar position of care giving, eldercare specialists are available to counsel, provide information and help in planning ahead.
Low-income older adults receive assistance in accessing free or low cost medications. This is a part of the Elder Support Program.
Mature job seekers are provided with job search techniques, skills assessment, networking seminars and job leads.
Nursing Home Ombudsman Program
Trained volunteers and agency staff work to improve the quality of life in nursing homes and assisted living facilities through advocacy and complaint resolution.
Trained volunteers assist staff in improving the quality of life for vulnerable elderly who the probate courts have determined to be incapacitated. Trained money management volunteers help low-income seniors who need budgeting assistance.
