SESSION ONE March 25, 2013 -
The “Elder Law Boot Camp” is designed to inform Seniors of legal issues surrounding the aging process and the documents necessary to not only answer the question “what happens to my property when I die?”, but also the more important question “what happens if I live, and become incapacitated and need long term nursing home care, now what happens to my property, my life savings, my income and my spouse or my family?”
“What the heck is a living trust and why should I care?” A concise, understandable explanation of trusts will be offered along with information about ways a trust can benefit the elderly preserving assets and providing peace of mind for the future. Also, a look a Probate, don’t be afraid, it is painless!
SESSION TWO March 26, 2013 -
Medicaid and Veterans Benefits Myths. Honest, legal ways to qualify for these programs will be provided. This is when participants learn things about government programs which are not revealed when calling the VA or the local Medicaid office.
