When my mother and dad were admitted to the nursing home, I started calling Medicaid and Veteran’s Affairs. This alone took a lot of time, staying on hold for someone. Once I got to talk to someone the questions they ask, took a lot of research on my part, trying to find those answers, then I would have to call back, stay on hold. Once I got a live person most of my answers were not enough, causing me to have to do more research and calling back again.
